Volunteer Christian Builders is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to advance the Lord's Kingdom by assisting Bible-believing, -teaching, and -practicing churches, encampments and other institutions, especially in pioneer areas, by providing volunteer labor to construct buildings for worship and other Kingdom-building activities.

How do I join Volunteer Christian Builders?

At the top of the Home Page is a  Button that says Volunteer. Click on the button and it will get the process started.

How do I get help with a Building Project?

On the home page header is a botton called Projects. Just click on the button and it will take you to a page that will answer you question and give you Project Reqest buttion that will get you started.

How long are the work days?

So you can plan, we work 5 days a week, usually from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm daily, taking 12:00 to 1:00 off for lunch and having a morning and afternoon break.  During our morning break we have a short devotional each day.

Do we just sign up for a project or is there more involved?

To get started, a full listing of the jobs that are currently scheduled to be worked can be found on our website by clicking on the Calendar tab.  This will cause a monthly calendar to appear with several banners that extend across a week.  If you place your cursor on one of those banners a popup will appear that will give all the information on that job, the dates, location, Crew Leader and his contact information, a link to a map of the location, and a short project scope.
If you find a job on which you would like to work, it is customary to contact the listed Crew Leader and ask to be put on the job list.

Are there special skills or tools needed on a job?

Accepted Answer

If you have a hammer, tool belt, tape measure, or other small hand tools you may want to bring them for your personal use.  Also, if you have things like an impact driver, circular saw, or so forth, they might come in handy.  However, none of that is necessary, just a willingness to help.
